Are you keeping anything in your existing kitchen that you would like to use in your new kitchen? Perhaps appliances, water filter??
Floor coverings…
Are you upgrading your floor coverings at the same time as your kitchen renovation? If so, what options are you considering?
If you are keeping your current floor coverings.. Consider that you will more than likely have to put cabinetry back in the same place so that you do not have any missing flooring.
Fridge – size, single or double door? Integrated model?
Free standing cooker – size, gas or electric?
Oven – size, wall mount or under-bench, gas or electric?
How many ovens would you like, do you require more than one oven?
Cook top – size, gas or electric, induction?
Range hood –what size would you like; canopy, slide out or concealed?
Microwave – under bench or wall location? Would you like a microwave trim kit, or would you like it in oven stack?
Dishwasher –Free standing, in built, semi-integrated or fully integrated?
Other items – Do you have additional or specilaised requirements? Perhaps you would like to incorporate the following; second ovens, steam ovens, coffee makers, combination ovens etc…
Electrics
Lighting makes a huge difference to the feel, mood and function of the kitchen.
Do you require extra lights in the kitchen compared to what you currently have?
Would you like down lights, spotlights or pendant lights? Perhaps a mixture?
Do you have enough power supply for your built in appliances; ie rangehood, dishwasher.
Consider whether you may like extra lighting or fans added.
Have you considered cabinetry lighting?
Do you have enough power points in order for your kitchen to function at its best? Have you got enough power points for all of you current and new appliances?
Plumbing
Will items be located in the existing places? Or are you reconfiguring your current layout to a new one?
Would you like any additional items; ie instant hot/cold water taps, Water filters or dishwasher?
